Icebox office
Yesterday we lost heat in our office. First, we thought it was the thermostat, so we pried the cover off and replaced the battery. Nope. Still cold air blowing. Manager called the landlord and the District manager. AFAIK, nothing has been done. So I'm bundling up this morning to work in an icebox. At least, it'll be warm today--almost 30. -
Back in the office
2011 isn't looking to be a promising year for the tax business. It;s understandable with more people doing it on-line or using software. HRB is getting killed because they lost the bank funding for those refund loans (due to federal bank regulators coming down hard on the lender). Football highs and lows
Congratulations to Michigan State on being 7-0 and ranked eighth in the country. This is their best start since 1966.
As for the lows, the Detroit Lions tied their record for futility by losing their 24th straight road game.
This week should be quiet until Thursday when I'm having Home Depot put more insulation in the attic. -

LLama, Interrupted
Because of the damage inflicted from the torrential downpour from TS Nicole that caused a leaky roof, Llama has postponed his trip Up North. No date has been set for rescheduling. The rain finally stopped today, so I'm sure he'll have his hands full with insurance adjusters and getting the roof repaired.
