I've already mentioned what happened at Clothers' Seminar, and how things, while wonderful and truly tragic, didn't go as planned..  There's an old saying that if you want to make the Gods laugh, tell them your plans.  The only possible addition I could make to that is "and apparently, Danu and Cernunnos need to laugh a lot ( Read more... )

So, I did go to Clothers' Seminar.  It was a wonderful day, and I had one of the best times I've ever had at an SCA event.  And one of the most tragic.

Usually I spend my days toodling on, trying to keep a handle on the housework, talking to friends, watching way too much TV; but every so often, a situation forces my head out of my own little world and stand up straight.  The inevitable problem with standing up straight, however, is that I end up taking a stand, and the Gods help me, I'm doing it ( Read more... )
