She can also understand the voices of the dead and can actually communicate to the dead. SO YEP. :3

Alternatively, can your character talk to animals?: Ahaha. ;; Funny thing here is Mami has died countless time in canon. If you don't mind spoilers (highlight to see) In the current timeline where I took her from, she was decapitated by a witch she was fighting. Her body was gobbled up too. Oh, and she can't talk to animals.
