Things have been going well in Madison. For a while, I was working about 50+ hours a week at work because we were short staffed . I liked it, because I was getting absurd amounts of overtime. Much has changed recently. I have a full time job, and I've found a new apartment. I move there in mid-August. It seems like a nice place, and it's cheap. I'll be living in a basement with it's own kitchen and bathroom, while my landlord lives above me. It's close to work, and much closer to downtown than where I live now. Things are going well here in Middleton. I'm still looking for a job, which is pretty boring work. I have met many of John and Katherine's friends, and they are pretty cool people. For the holidays, my parents, siblings, my siblings' girlfriends, and I stayed at a beach house for Christmas week. The sea water was far too cold to swim, but there was a hot tub on the pouch. Back in August, mom asked me to do the The Charleston Distance Run with her. I would run the 5K race while she did the 5K walk. Figuring it would fun, I agreed. I've been working in construction for three weeks, and I really enjoy my job. We are building a garage, and there are basically three things I do: play with power tools, use a hammer, and lift heavy objects. Last weekend, I flew out to Dallas for an interview for GEOS to teach English in Japan. The interview process was intense. There were 10 other applicants there, and the first thing we did was take a grammar test. After that, we had ten minutes to prepare a simple five minute lesson. I barely passed the grammar test.
