So..I took the DM position, and I'm officially in Frackville now. My work is paying for a hotel until I find an apartment. Thing is, this town is horrible. I'm not sure if I actually want to get in a year lease. There is absolutely nothing to do, and living in a hotel doesnt make me feel any better ( Read more... )

I just got an email from Brian. Looks like I won't be waiting another 3 weeks to see him. He just received his emergency leave from the Red Cross. His Grandmother is very ill and in the hospital, she's not expected to live more than 3 weeks. I wish he were coming home under better circumstances, but in all honesty, I'm just glad he's finally coming ( Read more... )

I just talked to my friend Kevin tonight. For about an hour, he's from Canada...can't wait to see my next cell phone bill. It was great to talk to him, he was in Afghanistan for awhile, and I'm glad he's home again. Another bright point, I got to hear him say "eh", "aboot" and "oot" alot...gotta love the Canadian accents!
