Love love loved the story! :)

One small detail though - someone medicated on regular pain killers, ie. opiates, will have pinpoint pupils. Large dilated pupils are a sign of someone in withdrawal from opiates. After working for 2 years in an addiction clinic, I spend a lot of time looking in to patient's eyes!

They wouldn't happen to have this in an EPUB format so that I can toss it on my ereader, would they?

Baen collect the short fiction into a rolling year's collection which is available in all formats. You may have to wait for next month before it's added. Previous years also include other tinker stories.

Will all the tinker short fiction ever be collected?

Also Amazon is selling some of her shorts out for the Kindle -- for $0.99 iirc -- hopefully some of the change gets to Wen. :)

Two days ago, I found myself nervy and unable to concentrate on anything until I picked up Elfhome. I finished it yesterday with a sense of sadness because ... well, it was done and there was no "next". Today ... you post this. Thank you.

(Not the first time something like this has happened - I think I have the most *useless* form of precog in the world!)

Wow! Wow! That was great! Thank you! Thank you! That was ... wow!

I love that you gave evil Chloe a superhero opposite (and, fwiw, I actually mean Hal, though Jane does pretty good too).

So the person who was 'tengu'd' -- who did the flipping? I didn't think Lord TomTom had that ability -- hence the breeding of the Kitsune/warg puppies?

MUHAHAHAHA. Future stores will reveal all. Only so much fits in one short ... ugh... scratch that... one novella story.

Presumably it is Lord Kajo?

I believe the answer to your question is, the mysterious super-bad-guy in the third full novel, the one who is only ever spoken about but not actually encountered. That villain is reputed to have the ability to spell-change people.

Also I must disagree with the statement in your icon picture. You CAN hide in minimalist furniture, BUT, you will be easy to find.

with love,

Hope
