grr. I have an essay due tomorrow for my 8 am class. It's not done. Of course, I really don't feel like working on it now. Do I have a choice? No. le sigh

Not sure if you've heard this from me before, but I find that the most effective way to get any writing done is to do it in ten-minute sprints. You set a timer, write for ten minutes, then stop when the time is up. Give yourself at least a ten-minute break (fifteen to twenty is usually better), then come back and write for another ten minutes. Doing that tends to keep me focused and I don't get worn out and frustrated from staring at the computer screen for hours on end. On Sunday night, I wrote a four-page paper in about two hours this way. It is like magic.

that's a really good idea. Actually, I tend to kinda work like that anyway, but I always felt guilty for "slacking off." If I can tell myself that it's part of a plan, I'll feel much better about it lol. Thanks!
