I keep writing LJ entries, LJ replies, emails, and text messages, only to decide that they are dumb or irrelevant and delete them part way through. Pretty much the only medium I can get through fast enough to not do this all the time with is twitter, and I've been doing it a fair amount there as well ( Read more... ) -
Preparing to jump ship...
As I've talked about a little, LJ has been making me uneasy for a long while, basically since the SixApart purchase. I haven't seen an alternate that I felt was likely to last, although I did make an account at InsaneJournal, which I then forgot all about.

pulmonary update
Saw the doc. He's not convinced it's pneumonia, but not convinced it's not; said he was willing to send me across the street for a chest x-ray but wasn't going to insist on it, so I said I'd wait until he was more adamant, since it would cost a lot of $$$, not make me feel better, and the treatment will remain basically the same no matter what it ( Read more... ) -

Bronchitis has morphed into something strongly resembling pneumonia. I'll be heading to the doc in about half an hour. I am exceedingly displeased at this development. -

I keep hearing that I've been very quiet on LJ, and I guess that's true... I joined twitter in December (prompted by webcowgirl's post about ambient awareness), and I tend to open new post tabs, only to conclude that my thought can be distilled down to 140 characters and tweeted instead ( Read more... ) -

My flist is crowing about SNOWPOCALYPSE from Vermont to North Carolina. It's... kinda cute.
I have to remind myself that although WA is the smallest state west of the Mississippi, it's bigger than any state east of it. :) -
tax refund is here!
The purchase I have been keeping at the top of my list for this year's check from the IRS is a leather hat from Head'n Home, because I have been envying icebluenothing's since I first saw it eight years ago (and then some).
( Only I can't make up my mind which one to get. ) -
