Seohyun and Krystal ask questions of each other, at first to harm, then to understand.
A/N: For unnideul Post 6

( Somehow, beneath her notice, Seohyun has come to look forward to seeing Krystal. Their talks are still heated and tense and neither can leave the other without carrying a back full of stinging welts from sentences that lash out like black leather whips, but Seohyun no longer seeks to damage the other girl. Somewhere beneath that harsh veneer is someone worth understanding and if Seohyun has to hack away at skin and muscle and bone to get to it, well, she’d at least try before she feels sorry for it. )

from the outline you showed me, i wouldn't have been able to guess that you'd go in this direction. i don't even know what i was expecting but i am very much into this. maybe i'm a bit biased because i love rarepairs and gay angst, but maybe this is also super good so bless your soul/life/everything.

Lol, tbh I had no idea it would go this direction either, it just sorta came together that way when I sat down and finished it. And thanks for the praise, as always~

I really, really enjoyed this! Making Seohyun and Krystal's relationship analogous to (a bitter) war was such a clever way to convey the way that they were feeling and communicating. I always like reading SNSD fics where Krystal is involved at some point. I find her relationship (irl) with Jessica downright adorable (and relatable), and her relationship with the SNSD girls fascinating. I think you did a great job at making all the relationships here believable :)

My favourite lines are "“I’m not shy.” Krystal grits out, body tense for the war her mouth will wage." and "She stares at Seohyun with a slow settling panic, as if her tongue dances the edges of some grand explanation; an epiphany rests like the tiny egg it is in her mind, ready to burst through its flimsy pale shell to unearth the monster sleeping within." They're so poetic!

And I feel exactly the same way about Krystal, lol. I love fics with Krystal and Jessica in them, even if one of them is only as a background character and Krystal interacting with the other SNSD members is such a rarity, especially as a pairing. I think there's just so much to explore when you consider the dynamics of Jessica having to come to terms with one of her "sisters" in a relationship with her actual sister.
