It's that time of year again! [NaNo 2011]
Anyone else doing NaNo this year? I will as usual and always curious to hear who else is doing it.
I'm already a little ways into building all the background material/outline work for the novel but I'm going to need the full month to get ready, so... yeah. -

If you're a Dresden Files fan, get Changes NOW!
As FFTimberwolf already knows, I picked up Changes and devoured it in one go (this is now a tradition, I did the same thing with Turn Coat to avoid spoilers online).
If you've read Turn Coat, all I'm going to say is this book, in totality, is even more intense. And I don't say that lightly. -

50,014 words, and I literally just wrote the midpoint scene of the story. Now the MC begins to work on fighting back with a bit of a plan, and a helluva lot of gumption. Another 40-50k words before the story is told, but getting that first 50k in November really does feel awesome, and with any luck will get 70k before the month is out, so I'm not ( Read more... ) -
