Hi Sam -
I paint pictures of mostly birds, bit also cats and dogs and some other kinds of wildlife on glass candleholders. You can check them on my facebook page West Wind's Child. I haven't got a website yet, still setting it up, but you can se samples of what I've done on FB.

And OT, I'm back in FL, although the house is still somewhat boxier than I'd like because of the family emergency stuff. The quasi guest "suite" will be available April 19 - 23, meaning my husband won't be using it so it won't have to do double duty as an office.

Oh, I would so love to come visit! Finances are a bit shaky just now, but my son is starting a new job on Monday, so by mid April, depending on bus/train fares, it might be a possibility. Does Amtrak come anywhere near St. Pete?

Yup, you can take the train to either Tampa or Clearwater/St. Pete

I also don't recommend taking the city buses while carrying luggage because, well, the changeover in downtown St. Pete is near a park that is sort of a camping ground for homeless folks, and it is really not the best place in the world to look like a tourist and be encumbered by steal-able stuff. I've done it myself multiple times, and no one's ever bothered me other than to make social sorts of comments (then again, I'm on friendly terms with some of those individuals), and personally I feel pretty safe in downtown St. Pete--but the statistics tell me that I'm misguided in feeling that way. And one of my friends did get mugged a few months ago south of the city.
