Hurricane update

The storm arrived on time, with heavy rains and high winds. My gut instinct had been to stay home and ride out the storm, but while it was still just rain, I started thinking about how the storm drains backed up last year and trapped us in the trailer park long before the floodwaters rose. Home again!! Miraculously, there appears to be no damage to the house and lot! I am taking this as a sign that the serendipity of not having cleanup/repairs at my house coupled with physical incapacity to assist in other people's cleanup/repairs (THANK YOU, gall bladder!) means I am supposed to follow the storm's bird fallout tomorrow morning. If I can find any reasonably close by. I am prepared to add half a dozen birds to my life list tomorrow!

Seems I got lucky this time! Apart from spending my electric payment at the grocery store stocking up on emergency supplies, I came through the storm unscathed.
