I imagine the reason why people can't be christian after seeing all that proof is the same reason people can't be atheist after seeing all sorts of proof. It is like there is a huge wall, and if you want to see the proof in what you think is right, then you will only see that. Nobody is really open minded enough to realize that everyone is right.
i probably sound very pretentious in this comment...wetpandaMarch 21 2004, 12:31:10 UTC
what you said reminds me of this passage in a kurt vonnegut book...one of my favorites in almost any book. it's describing this place, called the "chrono-synclastic infundibulum." and to describe it, kurt vonnegut made an imaginary children's book in his book to lay out the best explanation
( ... )
Ahh...I could read that big long paragraph that you wrote about some kurt vonnegut guy, but eh. I got distracted after the first sentence.
Someone has a short attention span around here, but I just can't remember who.
More proof:
This will only work if you believe the OT Bible is true. Which I will have proved in 2 weeks. Or my youth group minister. Heh.
There are over 300 prophecies in the OT of the coming Messiah. Now if you take 48 of the major prophecies, the chances of someone fulfilling all these by coincidence is 10^157 power. Things are considered impossible by mathematicians after 10^50. So, that proves it wasn't all just one big coincidence. I think I might be making a post sometime soon contradicting a bunch of athiest jargon. Lots of lj-cuts with the questions/come backs as the title. Maybe this summer. Not now, no time now. -falls over- I need sleep.
