I'm going to Squaw Valley this weekend with my Pastor. It was originally me, him, clearbright, and so_yun, but so_yun couldn't go so it's just me and the Rev. He's a really cool guy. Yeah you were right. Squaw is not that good. The trails are very boring. I'm glad I went though so I never have to go again. The conditions were ok especially for this late in the year. Started off icy, then got soft and later slushy. Yeah the first run we took it was all ice and we were like uhhhh...let's go home. You could not carve at all. But we moved higher up and it got a lot better. Are you going up again? I figure there probably is not much time left.

icy is bad! but soft/slushy sounds ok. ;) i think squaw has some trails that aren't boring (like the double black diamond ones) but on the whole, it's more geared towards skiers, in my opinion... but i'm glad you thought it wasn't all that either. hehe.

i want to go up again but not sure when or with whom yet... i'm trying to convince r to take me to kirkwood. ;)

Double black diamonds, hell no! I mean blacks are hard enough when there's a lot of powder. But when it's a little icy = doom. The blacks there took a lot out of us. There were slopes there that went straight down with no angle. We were watching people try to board down and it was not pretty. I mean what is the point, you can't carve, pretty much they were just inching their way down.
