We had a hell of a wind storm last night.  Parts of the city are still without power, which are, fortunately for me, not parts of the city in which I live.

Sleeping on the third floor of an old creaky house is never lovely in a windstorm.  The windows rattle and the walls shake and it's very, very loud.  I am always a little bit concerned that it' ( Read more... )

What is that subject line from? It seems familiar.

The plague has been so unfair and so unkind in so many ways. I didn't account for the "plus gale" factor! (*shaking fist at virus) Gale is such a great word.

Also, your LJ icons are so STUPID in how they are often so weirdly approp. Then again, we are stupid for creating a world in which that photo was ever, ever taken. The series of events to get you that LJ icon are borderline absurd.

It is, to my knowledge, just from my brain. I mean, you know, it's a reference to the Wizard of Oz, but I don't think that wording is otherwise famous. I would be willing to believe that it is, and my subconscious just dragged it out from somewhere.

Also, agreed on all counts. I think we need to do a "meme" photo shoot next...
