I played my mom a new song and she told me it was self indulgent. I got defensive then realized she was right. I like my mom a lot. She's honest without being mean. Not very many people can pull that off.

my grandpa was telling me about a bluegrass festival he went to and how it was long and boring and he only liked about 4 songs. I think he was trying to relate to me but I love bluegrass so it didn't work.
