do you believe in being friends first, and then progress to liking/loving the person because as you get to know the person, you start to like his/her character and personality

or

is it a case of like first, and then go on dates without being friends at all, and through these dates you get to know the person better..(something like love at first ( Read more... )

Sometimes i feel that the second crashes abit badly in the end cos you might not like the kind of characteristics he shows later.

friends first always good then you can think about your decision and feelings thoroughly. at least if you become good friends, you know he'll be there for you when you're together rite?

but someone told me that if you stay friends for more than 3 months, later on very hard to be tgt alr. of course, not applicable to everyone!! =)

I don't think there's a rule on which is better. I guess it's up to the individual and how the friendship/relationship progresses from there. Sometimes we tend to concentrate on everything else about a relationship and forget what's most important, the person we love.

I don't know if you got what I just said or whether it's relevant but I just felt like saying it.

And I think I just got it. I think I love her.

Well, if friends first, then get together, if things don't work out it may ruin the friendship and the entire clique of friends. Everything will be awkward and stuff as you know, haha.

At least if like first, then become friends, it doesn't really affect other aspects in your life if things don't work out.

But in terms of mutual feelings, then both are just as good. Except that friends may understand each other better from the start and may work out better as compared to getting to know each other as they date and realizing that they do not like the character of the person they like.
