I think I commented this 5 times already over the course of the summer and never posted. It's too hard to describe the brilliance of this story. I can say that the insight on Heather, on her relationship with both Taylor and Naya, and even the wisdom talks with her mother are so deep and complex that it feels like taking an entire psychology class. And after taking said class you realize you've got no more answers than you did before, yet you feel as if you've experienced someone else's life and perceptions and your only thought is: I get it. This is beautiful. They are beautiful with all their good decisions and bad ones. And it just leaves me with this hope that no matter how messy the road may be, they'll stick together. And that's the true gift.
