Hey there!

I'm one of the duty managers at a student bar in the town I live in. The general dress code is "uniform shirt with black pants" and finally, now I'm a manager, I'm allowed to wear actual clothes and not the horrible uniform tshirts they make the normal bartenders wear. So I thought I'd jazz it up a wee bit.

Constructive criticism: I don't think this is work appropriate at all, and not just because you look careless. I think a shirt that fits is the first thing in order. And secondly, if you are going to wear a tie to work, wear it. I think if you wear anything like this ever again, they'll regret hiring you.

Dress the way that the other managers dress. Put a twist on THAT. I don't have so much of a problem with your actual outfit (def not my style in that past like, 5 years though). I just think that you don't look like a manager, and it's hard to command respect in an ill-fitted shirt and a studded belt.

i see what you're saying about being a manager, but she's a manager at a student bar. not a bank manager or something. my sister has an office job at a university working with students and she has bright pink hair and tattoos and they dont regret hiring her at all. if anything it makes the students more likely to relate to you if you look a bit cooler and more like them, than some stuffy boring old person.

As I work at a student bar, what I'm wearing is very appropriate. They don't want me to look too dressy and formal as that is not the spirit of our bar.

As for the other managers, they usually wander around the bar in a tshirt and jeans so what I'm wearing is not too informal or whatever.

The only thing I have to say is that you should get a longer shirt, but other then that I think you can rock it.

I applaud you for having the guts to post your photo here! I think you look good. A little too "scene" for me, but if that's what you're going for -- nice execution? heh!

I think you're pretty. And I love the chucks with the outfit. Quite frankly, anybody who puts a picture up here seems pretty bomb to me.

Teach me how to be a bartender!! What's the secret?!
