Yesterday we gave chips to a homeless man; hopefully they were not your chips. We had to search for a homeless man. The police make sure they stay away from the city center during the parade. No one can have good family fun when there are a bunch of dirty homeless people around. We wandered along the train tracks “I’ve killed a man” said the conductor with no look of horror or shame in his eyes. We couldn’t remember his face. It was blurry “maybe he was a demon” she said. Only an arm left, his torso spread across 400 miles. The homes weren’t squatter homes, they were simply tiny little houses packed with interesting people. He waved at us as she crossed the bridge over the miniature lake of toxic waste. The buses had stopped running for the parade, the show of freaks. We were left sitting at an unused gas station watching a man ski quickly across the pavement.
