I just watched The New World on Amazon instant video. I can't believe I hadn't seen it before! I kind of make it my business to see sweeping historical movies like that. i LOVED Girl with a Pearl Earring. I thought it was so cool because there was very little dialogue or exposition. I felt like the movie was made so that it told almost the whole story visually, which just seems so fitting since its about a painter.

Agreed. I really liked it. It's the type of movie I would like to buy and watch from time to time to put myself in a particular type of mood. The New World, I'm not so sure. Well, maybe my appreciation for it will grow.

I haven't seen The New World, but I did see The Girl with The Pearl Earring. I know what you mean about sweeping historical dramas, I enjoy them too.

I have never heard of The Assasination of Jesse James.

How are you able to watch Amazon instant videos? Do you pay to watch them or do they give away a free one sometimes?
