You are certainly a man of many interests, aren't you? Were you the one interested in prararie dogs? We saw a colony of them in Arkansas at this really cheesy wildlife safari thing (we didn't pay to go in, but we drove by real slow and saw zebras, a giraffe, tiger cubs and prarie dogs).

Voice recognition has gotten better over the years, but still isn't even close to 100%. It is more like 70%. I don't know if you have Windows XP, but if you do, did you know that it has voice recognition built in? I've been playing with it for a couple years and it isn't too bad for being free. You have to 'train' it to recognize your speech and that takes about 15 mintues to start and then more when you can and to get it more accurate. You may want to check it out first to see if you would actually use voice recognition once you see it at work.

As an aside, you will definitely want a headset microphone for this and it should be a good one not something cheap.

I was reading this entry on my friends page but for some reason I had decided that it was an entry in Neil Gaiman's journal, I hadn't realised it was yours. Then as I was reading it I thought, this sounds a lot more like Jeff really. Then I got kind of confused when I was reading about the voice recognition software, as I was thinking it would probably have trouble with his accent. Just thought I would share.

P.S. Of course I don't think that it would have trouble with your accent.
P.P.S. My dad is interested in raising chickens, and my mum and sister have now decided they want a pony in the garage as they are currently taking riding lessons.
