So apparently I get all indignant and defensive when I feel like someone implies I don't work hard for my money, even though yes, my rich parents do give me money in addition to the money I work for. Every time I see someone refer to me by my new last name (I've changed it at the DMV, one of my two banks, and halfway at work) it makes me grin. I think that was the right choice. Even with all the hassle.
