Ferquently, in recent times (_more frequently_ than in the past decade or two, for reference) I find myself wondering "what is the point of my existance".
I did not mean to imply that I think there is no point (though on really bad days, sometimes....) to my life.
It was more... the thought that life might be a little easier if I had any clue what that point is, and thus, perhaps, a clue in what direction I should attempt to take it.
Perhaps. One could certainly make a solid argument for that.
The issue I find with that is.... I guess best put as... I can know that, intellectually. But, for me, that doesn't seem to ...translate well into anything useful, emotionally speaking, (for lack of a better way to put it).
Though... what does one do when one feels no particular draw to... anything? Do you just decide "This is my purpose" and have done with it?
(Keeping in mind, I'm someone who rather dislikes change. Once I've got something established, I tend to hang tight to it, even if it's a bad idea or outdated. So, choosing wisely has some importance.)
I suspect you need exposure to more things, if you have no activities that excite your passions. You'll need to get out of the house and try unfamiliar things. Maybe look for local groups on meetup.com (switch from "calendar" to "groups") that are completely (or mostly) outside of your usual interests.
And, of course, remember the Chinese proverb:
If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a month, get married. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help others.

Having you around certainly makes MY life better, and I don't get to see you nearly enough, so it must do at least as much for dozens of others!
