It always seems difficult to me when multiple people are involved, and each imposes roles on others without asking. Confusing to anyone. Hope you have recovered from this trying scenario.

I was always going to recover. This was a specific situation where a lot of things went wrong at a time when I had very little mental bandwidth to start with.
At the time I just felt bad that I had taken on commitments and couldn't follow through on them. Luckily, everyone understood and everyone is fine with everyone again.
Except for Pratty McPrattington the photographer. I still find him annoying.
Heh, i'm going to take a different approach to this and look at it from the point of view of the photographer. The Dom i stayed with in Cooktown is a photographer and he probably would have treated you the same way. In his mind he would have just been trying to do what he was asked to do and get you into the room for a photo. He wouldn't have known you were having troubles, and it would have taken him a moment to react.
i obviously wasnt at the party and don't know this particular photographer but is it possible that instead of trying to dominate you, he just caught you at a bad moment. That's really not his fault.
No I don't think he was trying to do anything untoward, but I am baffled that he thought his approach was desired or appropriate, especially after it became apparent that I wasn't in a fit state to be going anywhere.
