Wow, I completely forgot to respond to this. I'm terrible at this meme thing. :-P

Anyway, that's a very tough call. Though, my thoughts all point toward An American Elegy by Frank Ticheli. It's a beautiful piece that also has a lot of memories in it for me.

My band in high school has a tradition. At graduation, all the seniors file into their seats, and then the Wind Ensemble (the top band) plays one song. All of the seniors in the Wind Ensemble leave the other seniors to go sit with that band to play that one, last song together. For me, my senior year, that song was An American Elegy. I highly recommend finding it and listening to it if you can.
