In reply to a recently-posted question from Shara_F, baby is still chilling in the most comfortable lounge on earth. He gets excited and kicky when wife eats. I jab her belly when and where I see him kick. She punches my head when I jab her belly. It has all the makings of a wonderfully entertaining dysfunctional family sitcom. Since when is a t-shirt and a potty-mouth a sign of pedagogical prowess? When I am teaching those same students next year--and you know I will be (if I'm lucky)--they are going to hate me. I can't wait.

Oh yes, and for the record, I admire your willingness to get all Oprah on their arses. Pedagogical prowess thy name is whiskey.

I get tons of cuss words in my papers. I feel a bit silly having to explain in my marginal comments that calling the protagonist "a bit of a whore" may imply a value judgment that isn't intended--even when I suspect it *is* intended. I become such a prude in the name of my discipline.

Seriously, whiskey, you obviously need to act the whore "a bit" more in ethics class. T-shirt? Try no shirt, and some man tassels.

Q says he students are wahahs too. this is meant to sound like a baby crying but I don't know how to spell it. He says they say everything is too hard and he is not considerate of their situations and he probably spits on them or something.
