First of all, Idgie is doing much better for those concerned. She was very very weak and lethargic, and not eating, and had very yellow tinged skin on Thursday. They gave her some meds then I took her home with instructions to get her to eat as much as possible Thursday night so that they didn't have to put in a feeding tube on Friday. The loneliness is settling in, and I don't much like it. While six months isn't too terribly long, at the moment I feel it stretching out before me, empty and vast.

I've been here only 50ish minutes, and already it feels like the longest day ever.
