I've been engaged for almost five months, but in some ways, I think it might have only JUST sunk in that I'm getting MARRIED... and I'm ecstatic.

Ok, I mean it metaphorically as well, but mostly I mean it in the my-pocketbook-is-hurting-from-having-money-pulled-out-of-it-so-much way.

In high school economics, they should teach you how much moving trucks cost to rent. That would be a lot more useful to me than guns and butter.

Moving higher up and further in is, in a word, EXPENSIVE.

I do not mean this metaphorically.

Oral surgery is happening in my life soon. July 18th. The dead tooth is coming out, the long-latent, now raging bone-eating infection in its root will be allowed to heal FINALLY. The ugly plastic-y fake tooth is coming out too and both are making way for beautiful new porcelain bridges. I will finally have my two front teeth... at least, as ( Read more... )

My body is finally starting to feel like my body again. Ah, exercise.

Why is it that perfect synchronization of movement is SO beautiful and moving when done by two people--think the best pas de deux or skating duo with perfectly matched movements, in intense partnership and communication--but SO creepy when done by 60 bodies, a la the Rockettes ( Read more... )

Today I found out that my kitty has cancer. She hasn't been eating for a week, so we took her in to the vet. They kept her overnight and force fed her to see if she would keep it down/digest it through. At first she ate a little and pooped, which was a good sign, but today she didn't eat anything so they did an x-ray. They found that her ( Read more... )
