It does. I was telling my spouse as we drove through the neighborhood that the snow looked especially festive as it fell on the X-mas yard decorations and the wreathes hanging from the street light poles.
Ha! I started laughing as I read about your friend's party planning and timing. If I were him, I'd think the weather gods were out to get me. :D
And now we hear it's on its way here to Jaw-Ja--but will probably fizzle out before it gets to Atlanta, or only snow up in the mountains. My boys are all down sick with bronchitis, so even if it does come they'll only be watching it through the windows. I'm hoping for a nice big snow later on in January, one I can make snow-cream from; it's so pleasant to be all warm and cozy inside with cocoa, snow cream, and a blazing fire while watching it come down outside (an experience I get 'maybe' once a winter if I'm very, very, very lucky--mostly winter is Georgia is just cold, wet, and icky, except for the occasional excitement of an icestorm...)
We let my kids play in the snow at a nearby park for a good hour. They were tired, freezing and wet by the time we got them home. My oldest requested cocoa and time in front of the fireplace. We accomodated. They loved it. All three were crashed out on the floor within 5 minutes of drinking down the cocoa. :D
