Sorry for the lack of updates, folks. I've been rather busy with school, and my Senior Art Show is this weekend. Speaking of which, for the few people that live relatively close to here, my show is this coming Sunday (the 4th), from 3-5pm. If any of you think you might want to come, email, call, whatever.

I just got informed that I'm receiving the Les Klug scholarship from Carroll for my one semester next year. Apparently the freshman that was supposed to get it decided not to come here, so the Art Dept. faculty voted on which Senior should get the award, and I was picked. I'll get $500 bucks shaved off my bill next semester. Not too shabby ( Read more... )

'Twas a good birthday yesterday. Spent most of the day with Willa, then we went to Madison and met my cousin Talia and her husband Andy for sushi at Wasabi. Damn it was good. Well, I finally hit my target goal of 200lbs, making it 100lbs lost thus far, by or before my birthday. Just barely squeezed that sucker in, hehe.

In other news, it's spring break, and I'm stuck here doing busy work and such. At least Willa is coming to spend a couple days with me.

I saw The Laramie Project tonight, which for those who haven't seen it or don't know about it, is a play about the Matthew Sheperd (sp?) story. The format was very interesting: the actors played out parts from real-life journal entries, interviews, etc. The story became very personal because of this, and played on the viewer's emotions more. 'Twas a decent weekend. I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to get done, though. I had planned to work on my new tattoo series for photography Saturday, but I ran into scheduling conflicts.
