I feel that a random anecdote is in order.

About two weeks ago, I was teaching religious ed to third graders as usual. The topic was Jesus' resurrection from the dead.

I haven't updated this in well, forever. I'm sorry, but things are crazy. At the moment I'm completely stressing out because Mrs. Brennan likes to assign about eight things at once and Grace has been too busy and discombobulated to even think about them until today. She's currently staring at me with a demonic expression on her face and a slice of turkey breast precariously dangling from her sliver of a mouth. She is an odd one, That Ilyssa Constance Olivia Goldfarb. Quite barbaric, actually.

I just finished reading The Bell Jar and it made me remember how much I want to be a writer. I know that's not a realistic plan for the future.

I bet one out of twenty people want to be writers, just how one out of twenty people want to be athletes or rockstars or anything else.

What sets me apart? Nothing that I can see.
