Very nice. Viewed like this, it reminds me of a school, too - or part of one, anyway.

Neither homes nor schools looked like this in 1909.

I mean schools I'm familiar with today, of course. (Not all of them, either, just a certain kind.)

I was lucky enough to tour this place a couple years ago as a date with my girlfriend. *smiles* It's one of my favorite buildings. I love it. I built a knock-off version in Minecraft too.

I remember that! Though I didn't specifically recall it was the Robie House that you modeled. ^^

I lived not very far from Oak Park and Riverside, so I grew up around several FLW homes.

Lucky! I've never seen one of his houses in person, myself, though I did enjoy my visit to the Marin County Civic Center back in 1999.

*nods* It's recently been restored to its original state; how it looked when it was brand new a century ago.

I love Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, he sure was way ahead of his time. If I didn't know this home was built in 1909 I would seriously have guessed that it was a mid-century modern example from the early 1950's.

I must say, that Fallingwater has been my most favorite FLW house since first seeing it in a book when I was about 8 or 9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallingwater

Fallingwater was my first exposure to Frank Lloyd Wright, back when I was a kid. Definitely one of my favorites, too!
