Sony Watchman, Sony Walkman, Sony Sports FM radio, Sony Betamax VCR, Sony Betamax cassette, Sony micro cassette recorder, Sony Betacam, Sony tri-mode stereo, Sony "boombox"....I see a trend here :)

Altho, I'm not sure who made the typewriter. My thermal typewriter was made by Brother.

And 30 years ago..I was in retail, selling all of those things!

Yeah, I noticed a preponderance of Sony stuff, too, though not as many as you did! I'm a Sony man, myself - from my first stereo receiver when I was a kid (STR-6055), to the digital camera I got just a couple months ago - about 80% of everything electronic that I've ever owned was made by Sony.

I still find it amazing that despite all the technology we have, we're a lot less happier than we used to be.

We're perhaps more entertained by our gadgets now, but that doesn't necessarily equate to happiness...

Well that goes without saying, but as a person that grew up without the Internet and some of today's technology, I can say that people are becoming more like Borg drones, connected to their electronic gadgets like they were life support.

What made ME feel old was that I didn't even know who 3/4 of those people are.

Boombox + radio + cassette player. I don't think those are really all that different. I'm calling it a misleading picture.

I see multiple Walkman-type units, too, so yeah, there is some redundancy there. The overall message remains true, though.
