I do have Dreamwidth accounts, but I can't seem to import my LJ stuff there anymore. I'm pretty upset about that.

I guess crossposting from DW to LJ has also been disabled. That explains why I no longer see your posts on my LJ friends page. Your tweets still show up, but none of your journal posts do. I wondered why, now I know. What a shame.

When I hit the page refreshes, I do grit my teeth a little bit, hoping this all will still be here :D

I re-downloaded the LJ-Archive program too from SourceForge, though some reports say it hasn't kept up with LJ code. Haven't tried it just yet...

I didn't know there was such a program. I've been doing my archiving manually one page at a time, which is very time-consuming and frankly exhausting. Can you maybe link me to the SourceForge download site, pretty please?

I used it a few times many years ago, with outstanding results (got all the comments too!) ... but I've read that with LJ changes over the years, it might not work as well... without some adjustments.
Read "MDANNOV"s notes in the comments as for what to do. If it looks tricky, maybe ask a programmer friend to help with the tweaks,... and keep us posted :>

*sigh* As soon as I saw the file had an .exe extension, I knew it wouldn't work on my Mac. Oh well, no biggie. I discovered yesterday that, prior to suspending posting on my furry LJ, I did an import to DW, so all I had to do to make the mirroring complete was just add my two most recent posts. So, everything is safe on DW, after all!

I'm on Telegram off and on all day every day. (@ Whitetail there, as well.) However, since the Telegram app is also affiliated with Russia, I fear it may go black soon, too, either being deleted/blocked by app stores, or maybe made by the devs to work only within the borders of Russia itself. I don't know. All I know is, I don't take anything for granted anymore!

And then there's Fur Affinity. I still check that every day, too. :-)

I've been trying to import all my LJs to their corresponding mirrors on Dreamwidth, but every attempt thus far has failed. That's why I've had to resort to backing up everything by hand. *sigh* So tedious...

And yep, the feeling's mutual!
