walking along, crazed with joy and happiness

so the other evening found me walking home from the grocery store. eating a great fuji apple, delicious, and just uber happy. it occured to me, I have a job that, though doesn't pay much, I enjoy quite a bit, its a cooking job. I have a lovely little cat, that, given the chance, will claw the hell out of my hands, but he's beautiful, and I live

technically I'm a city employee I guess, but I'm not full time, so there's really no included benefits ala medical or shit like that, but yeah, I get free entry to the zoo, as well as free entry for my imediate family and spouse/ partner, seeing as I have neither in this state(nor anywhere as to the latter) its not much. I do enjoy my work though, so that in its own is a plus, as well as the possible experience of working with the executive chef whom hired me as well as the experience of working with the three Sous Chefs, I work with the three sous chefs on a regular basis as they are the managers of the kitchen I work in, but they also do fancy caterings and dinners and what not, and that's where the more exciting experiences would come, anyway, I've only been there 3 weeks or so so its not like I was expecting much in such a short time
