A complete lack of respect for life, to the point that they won't even put a name to their behavior.

The behavior is senseless, seeming to have no goal but destruction, but it's also craven. There are none of the normal terrorist's actions to take credit, not even by a party that didn't actually commit it. Not only should we not act afraid, it seems to me as if the perps are more afraid of the rest of us than the other way around.

If nothing else we know it's not the Third Something from where we come from.
