A poet opines about your beauty for hours upon end - regaling you with all manner of accounts which prove testament to your beauty be it inside or outside (often outside), and yet, you do not believe them! i know several girls who are UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS and think they are fat and ugly. those poems need to be written, and rewritten, forever.

No matter what I've looked like at various points in my life, and no matter who has told me, I have never believed it when anyone has ever said anything positive about my appearance. I don't know if I ever will. But you are right, I should try to write a poem that explores the ideas of why. If I only knew myself.
