i need to make a budget, my spending isn't quite out of control yet, but i noticed i dipped into my cushion in the last week. going to start a savings account today.

do any of you have monthly budgets? i don't even know where to start! give me advice!

i think i'm going to put in $200 a month into the savings acct. i've made a list of things i should/shouldn't be doing with my money.

I keep looking at apts and am frustrated because rents have dropped and we could totally afford a kickass place. But not enough savings for the upfront cost. Boooooo. But yeah I put away around 300 a month into an ING account and that usually goes into adventures abroad

i am going to put $100 a paycheck for big things like a car, an iphone, etc.

I couldn't get it to work with my bank account but mint.com seems pretty awesome and I would suggest checking it out.
