Once when I was a nipper, my sister took my cot out to the garden and filled it with sand. I cant remember for myself but apparently she took a good hour to teach me how to eat the sand, and as soon as I 'got' it, she called my mom, and shot a gasping point in my direction. I once pushed her down the stairs in a wicker basket though, so you'd think all was even.
