Title:
As Told By Mess Hall Conversations Author:
desree_rd Rating: PG-13
Warning(s): None
Summary: Based on this prompt. Kirk has had a thing for Spock since he stepped on the Bridge at the end of the movie. Two years into the 5 year mission, Kirk has been spending a lot of time with Uhura learning the various alien cultures and languages of the federation and they have become friends in the time that they have spent together. Spock and Uhura break up (nothing too vicious please) and while Spock is realizing his affections for Kirk, Jim doesn't want to start anything out of consideration for Uhura, who (once she figures out why they aren't together) is determined to set them up. Bonus points for Uhura being the one to figure out that Spock is in love with Jim before realizes it (and had resigned himself to not ever getting Spock).
