I'm not a parent, so I don't understand the whole trying to shove your son/daughter into a relationship if they've been single for "too long". I suppose in time EVENTUALLY I may understand it, but outside the whole realm of "wanting to see your children happy", I don't understand the phobia some parents have with their children staying single.

I still have to put up with my mom's subtle hints of wanting me to get divorced and find someone else. =\ At least she's not trying to push me in the direction of having children.

World of Snorecraft -- I laugh at this because it's true. It is growing boring having played it for two years now. All the "friends" I used to have there have gone off to different servers or are no longer playing anymore. Trying to make friends is trying to figure out which pile of loldrama you want to be mixed up with. I made a promise to myself that after I get back from my visit to my parents that I sincerely would make a real honest effort to go look for work -- around Arizona. NOT California like my folks keep ( ... )

I learned long ago that no matter how hard I tried, I could not please my parents and still be happy ( ... )

Ah, parents. They're just concerned. Our parents came from a generation where everyone almost ALWAYS hooked up and was married by the age of 25. And surprisingly, most marriages out of our parent's generations LASTED. The divorce rate among our parents generation isn't nearly as high as the divorce rate from our generation (you and I being examples of that ( ... )
