Workout playlist

Mar 24, 2010 23:05

My personal trainer asked me to put together a CD of workout songs and this is what I've come up with so far. I need 100 songs and there's 81 here. Any suggestions?

A few tidbits from my own workout playlist:

Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin-Geddon - Marilyn Manson
Art of Conflict - VNV Nation
Big and Bad - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Bodyrock - Moby
Chrome - VNV Nation
Dead Man Walking - David Bowie
Devil's Dance Floor - Flogging Molly
Doomsday Clock - Smashing Pumpkins
Do You Call My Name - Ra
Fearless - VNV Nation
Feels Like (It Feels Alright) - Collective Soul
Fragments - VNV Nation - actually just look up VNV Nation, there's a lot of good stuff in there, it helps me keep up the pace
Little Wonder - David Bowie
Salty Dog - Flogging Molly
Van Tango - Franz Ferdinand
Y'all Want a Single - Korn

EBM (like VNV Nation), neoswing (Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) and the punk-ish Irish stuff (Flogging Molly, The Pogues) are worth looking into.

I didn't know you were a fellow VNV fan! Much with the awesome. If you like Flogging Molly, try the Currency - an awesome aussie pub band - http://www.myspace.com/thecurrencyband

Throw in some Steel Panther as well - they're always fun. DJ Morgan's hard-house mixes are excellent riding music. Lee Presson is tasty swing love.

And where the hell is your VNV, boy? Fearless for sure, Epicentre, Electronaut and Structure all have much awesome - especially if you hit up the Pastperfect live mixes.

Added Kingdom, Rubicon, Epicentre, Electronaut, and Fearless. Dunno why I skipped over VNV when compiling this playlist. Duh.
