since neither corporate nor parastatal south africa are interested in giving me a job, i've been missing out on what they say.
how negative have they become?
(and when will they hire more foreigners dammit? the aftereffects of bantu education won't be gone for another decade. if i can clear what i do every month without a proper day job, what exactly could i do if i could?)
They're full of "yes, but, you can't do that here ..." - usual self-indulgent, incontinent insecurity and inferiority. And I here you exactly. They'll start hiring more foreigners around the time that us white males become socially acceptable again.
Oh, Gavin, it's beautiful! You've really done a good job. And that's Uncle Walt talking. I didn't know squat before I started working there.
The only thing that threw me was the wording on the green and blue backgrounds towards the top. "get rated, free" and "free rating reports" -- only because my eyes and head had to work very hard to figure out what was the difference between what the two offered. It's in the list below, yes, but it threw me into "Huh?" before I got to the list.
But that's IT. I mean, really, it's beautiful. Good work!
Thanks ;) I see what you mean about the "get rated" "get ratings" confusion. I'll think about that and see if I can come up with alternative words. This was my first attempt at coding entirely in CSS. I had no idea it was so powerful and efficient. Would be great if I could figure out how to making a living out of all these sundry talents. Freelance writing for large South African companies leaves one awfully exposed to their pathetic attempts at shrugging off their obligation to pay me for work already received. Sigh.

Except that I'd have removed the horizontal blue stripe, though :)
