I don't know whats worse when trying to plan your wedding. A woman who hands you a dress thats 10 dress sizes too big and expects it to look good on you or a photographer who is doing your engagement photos who says that we can't do a different pose because I'm too short

The other option is looking at how hard it is for you to get one made. Often it can be much less and more to your specifications. If you find a tailor that you adore, she/he will make it work for you. Also, try looking at off the rack stuff that can be modified easily. Price doesn't always equal quality.
