We found a house in Olde Towne and put an offer on it. After some negotiating we got it under contract. So now we just have to make sure everything works out with the loan and the inspections and if it does we might close by the end of the month. I'm a little nervous about the house because it needs a lot of work (mostly painting and cleaning

Technically, hon, you're in the Franklin Park neighborhood, not Olde Towne. But we'll let that slide. I'll look at it next time I go by (which is almost daily). When is closing scheduled? And keep an eye peeled for sneak thieves. I had a coven mate near Lexington, KY close on their house recently only to find out that between the last time that they looked at it and the closing some asshole had stolen the heat pump and all the plumbing in the basement. So visit it regularly!

closing should be August 29. I know that things can get stolen so I put a contingency in the contract that we have a final walkthrough before the closing to make sure nothing has been stolen.
