Please, don't mention tarnish, scratches and dents; I'd love to still be at that stage. On the other hand, our persons become maps to our pasts. Without the history carved on us, we would have lived the simply naive, unaware lives of babes.

Hell, it's kind of like my Honda. The dents & stuff give it personality and character. I still remember a few of my friends from high school who seemed that they'd never been really touched by life. They were really really nice and good people....but somehow just didn't have the same kind of character or personality. I find people who've actually lived some--including the rougher stuff--to be a lot more interesting. At least, most of the time I do.
Glad to hear the time was so good this weekend. I'd guess it was something both of y'all enjoyed, at least based on my own experiences.
I'm looking forward to getting to see more of the newest version of him, especially given what he's been working on and doing over the last year or so.
