Ok, short and sweet.

1) The new house is finished and we close on the mortgage next Wednesday. Yikes! :)
2) LJ is an addictive place, and it's no wonder I tried to post less. I helped volvita with a computer problem, and got sucked back into all that is LJ. It's hard to resist :)

It's been FOREVER since I've written here. Wedding stuff is going well. The big day is in just over 6 wks, March 5th. Tuxes, check! Dress, check! Rings, check! Today I helped Jen in her classroom, painting a wall, hanging posters, making a PVC storage structure, and laminating (which is super fun, imho). It was fun, but the downside is that in order to still get my 40 hrs this week, I had to come into Zyvex for 8 hours, so here I sit, in the scanning electron microscope lab, until 11 pm ( Read more... )

4th of July was an _awesome_ trip. Jen and I had a great time, and it was *gasp* actually fun and relaxing to be home. My entries seem to be constantly the "I am here, just not writing much" kind, and those aren't fun for anyone. I blame having no internet at home and an overdeveloped midwesterner work ethic. Today, the machines I need to use at work were being used by others until 5:00 pm. So, I went home to be w/ Jen, and am now back at work for a 7 hour (4 pm to 11 pm) stint this evening. Blargh!
