I'm sitting here wearing a half-finished sock. I discovered a new wool/alpaca blend the last time I went to Joann's, and since I'm trying to make as many socks as possible before heading to Finland, I'm knitting it quickly using a 5mm (US 8) 12" circular needle. Well, it's not freezing indoors. But warm socks are always nice to have nonetheless.

I realize it's not freezing indoors, but admit it, no matter what you do, your feet can still get really cold in the winter. All of my normal socks are wearing out, so doubling them with the knit ones makes the winter slightly more bearable, and that's in Ohio, let alone your arctic country.

I haven't forgotten you! I'll try to write up the pattern on Tuesday (my next day off). There are two different versions now, though both are really simple. I love simplicity in my socks.
