A paradox

How can I completely believe that there is no statistically significant difference between the male and female mind, and that most discussion of gender (in a non-anatomical sense) is pointless, and yet be so happy reading Glamour?

What are you talking about... the female and male mind and body are different in a lot of ways

Obviously the male and female body are different. But I don't really believe that there are any differences between male and female thought patterns (that aren't the result of cultural conditioning) that are actually statistically significant. (To be statistically significant, it has to be true in 95% of all cases.) I could be wrong, but I just don't think there are.

Then you should talk to Caitlin about the biological differences in the brain

you just answered your own question. there are statistically significant differences in male and female thought patterns, because of cultural conditioning. this is how you can find happiness in Glamour.

thanks for the essay comments =) hope you're doing well down there. take care!

see i think there are differences, but that there are huge variants as well, but anyway . . .

it is completely possible to believe something and still play into a stereotype that goes against it. the stereotype it isn't everything. it happens all the time. besides, galmour is fun.

i was super excited to see you on my friends list, btw. though for a bit i was like, "who do i know in Mercer Island, Washington?". :)
